During my free time, sometimes I am studying on how to write code in different programming languages. My long term goal is to gain advance valuable computer skills to market my self. Some of the languages that I’m focusing on are, Java, Python, C++, Swift, and PHP. Some of the web development languages that Im working with are HTML, CSS, and Javascript. My favorite things to do is when I’m studying programming is that I will listen to techno music while coding! It makes me feel like I’m in the matrix! When I was deciding on which languages to learn, I found out that Java is one of the most hottest languages today. Python is another popular language to study. I found out that the creator of Python got the name after Monty Python. I thought that was very interesting! Some of my favorite learning recourses to learn software and web development is on this site called “W3SCHOOLS.com”. They have great articles from beginner to advance levels for variety of programming languages. I also go on to YouTube to watch tutorial videos from different people to learn and watch. Swift is a cool new language that was replaced by Objective-C for Apple. The majority of Apple’s app ecosystem was developed by the language Swift, but some other programming languages where used as well. Java is used usually by Google’s system and for their applications. C++ is one of the oldest languages to study and use. C++ has been around for awhile and It is another popular programming language to learn to that is still being used today. For web development, I focus on HTML (Hypertext Markup Language), CSS (Cascading StyleSheets), and Javascript for web programming. HTML is the web standard for web pages while CSS is used for designing and Javascript is used to build interactive web applications. You can create different cool web apps, with these web languages as you like, which I thought It is very neat! There are different styles of coding, that I also learned. You can write regular, secure, clean, or messy code. To write clean code, you will want to have your blocks of code vertically and you don’t want to abbreviate words for example, when you write the word “password” don’t shorten it to “pw” so you’r code can be readable. You also want to write secure code so hackers can’t exploit your software. In the near future, I hope to learn and maintain my knowledge in software development and also in computer networking so I can work in the technology field.
